How to generate a certificate request using SubjectAltNames in IIS 6.0?

I am looking for a way to add an alternative object name to my certificate request in the IIS 6.0 Certificate Wizard. It seems that I can only fill in the Subject field, and not the alternate name of the object.

Trying to follow this guide ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931351 ) using certreq.exe does not help, it fails without any hint, except that it prints its guide.

Any approved suggestions, I hope I don't have to export the public key and create csr using openssl: /

I do not know how to add alternative object names in Windows. If you submit CSRs to a certification authority, they usually allow you to add SANs to your site so that they do not need CSRs. If you just make a self-signed certificate, you may need to break OpenSSL. :)
