I am looking for a tool that compiles a JSP file into a Java file, without using a servletcontainer like Tomcat or anything else. Can anyone help me out?
There is an ant task shipped with tomcat that precompiles jsps:
Tomcat mentions Jikes as another compiler, but it looks like it is no longer supported.
