I am looking for the Java equivalent of the .NET Snippet compiler. Is there such a utility? Is it or is it really a lightweight Java IDE for Windows? Eclipse and NetBeans seem too heavy to practice basic syntax.
The easiest is notepad + javak.
But Eclipse has a snippet compiler. And size has a reason, it is a very powerful tool.
