How can I debug a form?

Question

I want to see what the website submits when I submit the form.
Using Firebug, I see that this is the usual form of POST.
I'm interested in coding form fields.

You are almost there. Just go to the "Net" tab in firebug (you may need to enable it by clicking the small arrow next to the word "Net"), and then submit the form. The Network tab will catch a message and show you the headers in the Headers section and the actual data in the Mail section.

If you meant server encoding, you cannot see this, you can only see html.
