Convert SQL Server Database to MYSQL Database

Question

Ok, so I want to convert an existing SQL Server (2005) database to a MYSQL database.

There is nothing extraordinary.

The only thing I need to achieve is

• Restore tables
• Data transfer
• Relationships would be good, but not necessary

No views, no sprocs, no functions.

Any easy way to do this.

You also know any free DST (database synchronization tool) that would allow me to do

• MSSQL for MYSQL
• MYSQL for MYSQL
• MSSQL for MSSQL (I know there is SQL Delta for this - not free, though)

Have you looked at the Penthouse Maker (or Pento Data Integration)? http://kettle.pentaho.org/

we use it to copy and save synchronous systems with different databases, such as mssql ↔ mysql, which you seem to be requesting.

The kettle is even more efficient, which allows you to query ldap databases, direct text files, etc.

its charting tool is similar in appearance to microsoft dts (but more powerful, imho)

Download and install DBConvert on your computer

After installation, you can easily convert the database from MS SQ L to MY SQL ...

select the source for the remote connection, enter the IP address of the server and check the connection.

Here you see that your original connection is connected

The same goes for the destination to create the connection.

Select the table you want to convert to your target database.

After the copy process is complete, click "Exit" to complete the process.

Here your database is converted ...

Do not forget to set the correct SQL mode in MySQL, MSSQL settings sounds good to me. With this option, MySQL works very well with ANSI SQL, T-SQL looks like ANSI, and you'll be fine.
