Cryastl reports do not recognize that a new parameter has been added to a report stored in proc

I added another input parameter to the stored procedure used in the crystal report. I had our dba recompile stp to make sure the new parameter is cached and "really there."

I cannot get my crystal report to recognize a new parameter - I tried to check the database and use Set Datasource Location / Update to reselect stp.

I am using cr11 for 2005 db server.

any other suggestions?

right-click the stored procedure, click Check Database, then click Cancel, which will do the trick ... ^^

I would try them in order:

1) check the database, then check the new parameter
2) verify, using sql server management studio, that the parameter really exists.
3) close the crystal reports and reopen and check the database, then check the new parameter
4) closed crystal reports delete the data source, add the data source back and open the crystal again and check the database, then check the new parameter
5) reboot and then try # 3

Have you tried deleting and adding a data source?

They usually check the operation of the database, but I have several cases where I deleted and added again.
