SSL certificate performance issue

There are cheaper SSL certificates. Will a Verisign certificate work better / faster than a certificate from a discount provider?

My gut tells me that it doesn't make b / c difference, ultimately the certificate is installed on the server.

You can check this information from IBM. They examined several different cipher suites regarding SSL and measured the relative performance of each.

Please note that the MD5 algorithm is rather broken and useless ( also here ) when trying to secure something. So stay away from him.

In my experience, this does not matter. All of them usually use the same set of algorithms behind the scenes to encrypt traffic and, therefore, it is the implementation of these algorithms, which are more likely to matter.

The only thing I would like to do is if the Certifying authority certificate is installed on the client machines. This usually leads to the fact that Verisign or a large selection was chosen, but it was a few years ago, I believe that the coverage is now much better.
