How to realize the old film effect?

I would like to apply the old effect on the photo. Does anyone know a library or even rare math? I would like him to handle the redshift for over exposure, and the rest. Even if you don’t know the math or library, a pointer to any technical paper will be appreciated.

Clarification: I need to write these routines for my own project. I would like to know what processing should be performed and how. It doesn’t matter the environment and the system, I just need a little hint on how the RGB process data

The comments mention Magic Bullet from Red Giant Software. There is an impressive amount of image processing know-how behind the development of Magic Bullet. It will probably be easier for you to implement the host interface for After Effects or Final Cut Pro plugins and use Magic Bullet.

If you want to see some kind of source code in action, check out open source projects that do image processing like GIMP, CinePaint, FreeFrame, etc.

If you can find the Paint.Net plugin , I'm sure you can just use this DLL in your program. Is this the kind you are looking for?

Rare mathematicians?

Create several different transparent PNGs with scratches and traces of dust on it. Take the pic., Adjust the hue, saturation and brightness (the algorithms for this are not so complicated) to extinguish the image, and then overlay one on many of the creaky PNGs. The more scratches / dust PNG you have, the more random effect you can create.

Not much math here IMHO.
