GUI options with python 3.x

I was wondering what options are available for Python 3.x? I know that Tkinter is available as well as qt, but what about other libraries? Any word when some of them can be carried over to 3.x?

Several recent versions of PyQt support Python 3 (I point to the PyPi entry, which is for PyQt 4.6, but there is also a later PyQt 4.7 ). I personally have not tried PyQt with Python 3, but PyQt has long been a great GUI toolkit, so I have no reason to doubt the complaint.

I heard really good things about WxWidgets or wxpython , but can't find a single word when it's compatible. I always liked QT.

As you can read in wxPython newsgroups , people are trying to port it to Python 3.x, but it will take some time.

PyGTK migration is also planned (see bug report ).

In any case, these ports will take (at least) months, I think, so you should stick with PyQT or tkinter. Or with Python 2.6.

I use Tkinter exclusively, and although it is somewhat limited in terms of images, it is remarkably easy to use and is well aligned with the standard easy-to-read Python syntax. I am not familiar with other GUI options, but Tkinter is different from my experience.
