Hyphen against underscore in url

Question

In rewriting the URL, I'm pretty confused, so I have to use the underscore (_) OR hyphen (-) to replace the spaces. According to this and this , a hyphen should be used. But wikipedia uses underscores, such as en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_network_programming. so what should i use?

You can use whatever you want. It does not matter (from a technical point of view, there may be other reasons to choose one over the other).
