SQL Management Studio 2008 - server name on the tabs Query Editor ... where did they go?

I recently upgraded to SQL Management Studio 2008 (full non express, if that matters).

In 2005, when I was in the query editor, each tab (with an unsaved query) would have the name of the server-instance-request-query or something like that, but all I cared about was to see the server name there, so I knew on which server did I run my request.

In 2008, it turned out that they decided to change the tab header to the name-servername request, and as a result of this I canโ€™t see which server I work on without hanging on the tab and looking at which pops up, which really slows me down. Therefore, at present, all my tabs are called "SQLQuery5.sql ...", which is useless to me.

How to return the server name to the beginning of the tab header?

It can be disabled / enabled in SSMS 2005, so maybe in 2008 you disabled it.

Go to Tools โ†’ Options โ†’ Text Editor โ†’ editor tab and status bar. In the Tab Text section of the right pane, verify that Include Server Name is set to True.

If you select the menu of the SQL editor, from top to bottom, a drop-down menu will appear that indicates which database you are using for the current tab.

Do you have to run any queries in the active window? At the bottom there is a status bar with the server name and the database name. This way, you donโ€™t need to clutter up the limited tab space with all this data.
