There have always been two main implementations of JSF: Sun Mojarra (reference implementation) and Apache MyFaces . Mojarra 2.0 has already been final for several months (since October 19, 2009 ). The implementation of MyFaces JSF 2.0 is still on its way (still in beta). No other JSF 2.0 implementations come to mind.

Update: as of yesterday (April 21, 2010), MyFaces 2.0.0 has finally become final.

Perhaps you are asking about extended sets of JSF 2. First, Primefaces released a finished product release, I believe in February 2010. RichFaces (JBoss / Redhat) just announce the release of JSF 2 this week (April 2010). Icefaces is expected to be released in June 2010.

I have successfully used Primefaces in a JSF 2 application - it worked great.
