Query execution plan: missing index

alt text http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/7245/75088152.jpg

There are two tables into which I join them, one of them is a temporary table, and I create an index after creating the table. But this is said in terms of fulfilling the request above.

What should I consider to convert all scan operations to search operations? There are parts that connect and where are the conditions ...

The missing index hint that displays is your best starting point. SQL Server has found that you will get better performance by adding the index that it tells you.

It is difficult to be specific, since you really need to know that your SELECT statement as a whole can trigger a scan, not a search.

As an example, I recently posted a blog about how the structure of your WHERE clause for (for example) date-filtered queries can turn searches into crawls - in this case, all you need to look for is using functions in the WHERE clause.
