Compare CVS Eclipse Files

When I compare two identical files, one from my eclipse workspace and one from the eclipse comparison editor of the repository shows the differences across the entire file. It even shows tabs in differences. Is there any parameter that makes the editor ignore tabs?

You can interactively influence the comparison of spaces in the comparison view from the context menu of the view in Eclipse Helios.

We really came across this yesterday in my development team.

In the dialog box Window | Preferences | General | Compare/Patch Window | Preferences | General | Compare/Patch Window | Preferences | General | Compare/Patch select the Ignore space option, and this should clear you.
