Android: debugging app on a device with Eclipse and password protected keystore?

I downloaded my application to the Market and then downloaded it to my phone. Now I can’t use the debug repository, which is used by the Eclipse ADT plugin by default (reinstallation failed due to different application signatures), and when I try to configure my own key repository in Eclipse-> Windows-> Android-> Build β†’ CustomDebugKeystore, I can’t enter the password or accept the keystore and enter the password later.

Is there anything I can do, or just the way to debug the application on the device is to uninstall the market version and handle the default debug storage?

You need to uninstall the market version before you can reinstall the debug version on the device. Android tracks applications based on their package names, so you cannot have more than one installed with the same name at the same time. If you really wanted to keep both the market version and the version you are working on, you must change the name of the new package and then change it when you want to update it to the market.

Just realized:

What if you made a copy of your keystore file, changed the password like this stream on Android Android Android by default, and then used it in Eclipse?
