MapActivity class in android?

Question

when I extend the MapActivity class, it shows an error.

Error

: not allowed data type. why?

How to add maps.jar to my project?

You probably haven’t completed the steps necessary to set up your Maps project, as described in Overview of Google External APIs . There is no maps.jar to add. Read the document I'm attached to and everything should be installed.
