Some keys stop working in the Visual Studio 2008 IDE

I use 64-bit version of Windows 7 with 4 GB of RAM to run Windows Virtual PC Guest with Windows 2008 Server, Visual Studio 2008 Service Pack 1 (SP1) / Resharper 4.5, and SQL Server 2008. Guests have 2 GB of dedicated RAM.

Sometimes some keys stop working in the VS IDE, most often the arrow keys, backspace and enter. Keys still work in Windows and other applications. Restart VS is the only solution. I read some tips about not using toolbars / auto-change windows, but it doesn't seem to work.

Do one thing in the visual studio editor, under it go to Tools-> Import and Export Settings ...-> Reset All Settings After resetting it, your problem will be solved.

Yes, really annoying. A friend at work showed me a simple solution. Just press Alt + Enter. I have VS 2010. This fixes the problem every time.

This problem still exists in VS2010, and I ran into it again. Microsoft knows, but there are still no fixes:

Backspace and arrow do not work (MS Connect)

Arrow keys stop working in the editor (MS Connect)
