Express versions are the complete, standard SQL Server kernel code, so there is no performance difference from this point.

Of course, the Enterprise version has several additional benefits, such as indexed views, etc., which can speed things up. But for a regular, average SQL query, there is no significant difference in performance.

SQL Server Express editions also have some limitations, such as support for only one processor (core), max. 1 GB of RAM, not more than 4 GB of database size.

But if your query does not exceed any of these limits, I see no reason why SQL Server Express will be slower than the version of SQL Server Enterprise.
