How to break this huge image 15104 * 11264

Paint.net dies by opening this image as well as MS paint. I do not know how to open this file for editing. In fact, I decided to violate this image (its map of my area) and upload it to my phone (moto rokr e6), which currently does not have GPS.

TileMage refuses splitting, throwing an exception from memory!

I know Photoshop can do this, but I don’t have a license. Any free app for this.

Can GIMP do this?

ImageMagick should be able to handle an image that is large. convert is what you will use. Just do not expect this to happen especially quickly.

Instead of converting, you can use the imagemagick stream command. It uses only a small amount of RAM, no matter how large the image size is: fooobar.com/questions/1301169 / ...
