What implementations are available for the JPEG-LS compression standard? JPEG-LS is a new (relatively speaking) lossless JPEG format based on the HP LOCO-I (LOw COmplexity LOssless Compression for Images) algorithm.
I know the reference implementation of HP, which no longer comes with source code and the following third-party implementations:
UBC , CharLS , Clunie
The CharLS library seems to be the most current and only one that is actively maintained. Are there any other features that I missed?
Mostly I'm interested in 16-bit grayscale compression and I need a version that works (or can be adapted to work) on Win32. An implementation or shell compatible with Delphi would be ideal. CharLS looks good, but C / C ++, and not a pure C library, cannot be directly linked to a Delphi application due to the use of C ++ features.
