Add menu item VS 2008

When I open a WPF project and right-click in the solution explorer, there is a submenu element in which you can add specific WPF elements (Add UserControl, Window, Page, ResourceDictionary, etc.).

How to add the template that I created to this menu? Is it possible or just a waste of time. I can just click "New Item" and then find it.

Just wondering.

You need to customize the toolbars. In particular, the toolbar "Context Menu".

  • Select "Customize ..." from the "Tools" menu to display the "Customize" dialog.
  • Select the Toolbars tab.
  • Check the "Context Menu" item.
  • Change the desired context menu.

You may have to create a macro to open a specific item, and then drag this macro to the context menu. Macros can be found on the Commands tab. Select the Macros category to display all available macros in the Commands list.
