How can I find the longest postal name of a city in America?

Question

The longest city name I could find (with a Zip index) was "La Canada Flintridge", which is located in CA. I discovered this by accident through google. To test our mailing addresses, I would like to get a specific “this is the longest city name you could honor” from the USPS database.

How can I find this information a) for free and b) quickly?

For closing devices not related to programming . This determines the length of the City field field in our database. This is due to programming.

USPS databases use no more than 28 characters for a place name. There are currently 6 postal names that are long-term (all shortened to fit 28 characters): BIG SANDS PUNISH NATIONAL MO, INDIAN AIR TOP SPRINGS AUX, KINGSVILLE NAVAL AIR STATION, ROANOKE RAPTEUT AIR FOR RESERVAT, UNITED STATES OF AIR FORCE ACAD.

However, the USPS database also contains a 13-character form for any place name that is larger than that. For example, YOSEMITE NTPK is a short form for YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK. Starting on 8/1/09, CASS software (used to standardize addresses in USPS rules) is required to automatically provide 13-character names when searching for addresses.

The longest name for any registered place in the United States is Bellefontaine Neighbors , Missouri, 23 characters, including spaces.
