Routing network requests over mobile data connection only

Question

Is there a way to get all my network requests to be executed through my APN (i.e. via a connection to a mobile network), and not via Wi-Fi, without having to turn off Wi-Fi?

I want to know if my Android application can only use a network access point.

I can already set the default APN and use it, but for this I need to turn off Wi-Fi first.

Given that the initial login for Google to provide Android devices does not do this, this is probably problematic.

Also think about the fact that users can expect that the phone will only use Wi-Fi data when it is connected. So I do. The 3G icon (with traffic indicators up / down) also disappears whenever the Wi-Fi icon is displayed, so you need to think about it, which basically comes down to the fact that 3G is not used when Wi-Fi is available.
