How to install numpy on windows 64?

NumPy installer cannot find python path in registry.

Unable to install

Requires Python version 2.5, which is not found in the registry.

Ok

Do I need to change the registry? I have already modified% PATH% to point to the Python25 installation directory.

Numpy is not supported on python 2.5 for 64-bit 64-bit versions of Windows, you need at least python 2.6, and even then you need to build it yourself or use something like EPD or the installer specified in the link provided by the user.

NumPy cannot be used in the Google App Engine, so I'm not sure to understand the argument there.

Can I check which installer you use for this? I don't think there is an official 64-bit Numpy binary, but there is an unofficial one that you can try here . Of course, if you have already tried this installer, then let me know.

Something is strange with the official superpack ...

Windows 64-bit unofficial releases Christoph Golke has compiled an impressive collection of Windows binary installers of the latest scientific packages for Python, including amd64 versions from Numpy and Scipy compiled against Intel MKL and SciKits: http://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke / pythonlibs

An unofficial release resolved this installation issue.
