Can Pinax be deployed to GAE?

Is it likely that an application developed with Pinax might be deployed to the Google App Engine?

As I know, Pinax is based on Django and integrates many applications, it is suitable for creating even social networking sites. This is extremely useful, but I wonder if I can deploy it to the Google App Engine.

Thanks,

The main problem here is that Django ORM is not compatible with the GAE data store, but some work has already been done on the Pinax port using app-engine-patch . Here is the repository .

The key, of course, is JOIN support for many, many model relationships. Since this is already permitted for the context of "final consistency", there should be no reason why we could not. Now I am in the center of a social demonstration.

"Hoang" -

It seems like it was released on August 2, 2009 to enable Django 1.1 (see http://code.google.com/p/app-engine-patch/wiki/ReleaseNotes )

I know what you said in July, and August 2 is not much different from July. :)

I'm also interested in Pinax in the App Engine. Please report your results if you try!

Pinaxcombo does this only for part of the Pinax blog. Have there been any efforts to port Pinax to GAE?
