Commenting on the login w / twitter or facebook connect

Question

I create my blog on rails and I want to include comments

I would like to have something similar to facebook connect and login with twitter. A user can log in with one of them and then publish. There are no anonymous posts.

I do not want to add more login services, just stay simple (i.e. no disqus)

How can i do this?

I would suggest authlogic , as Devenve said. The Railscast tutorial is very useful. Also, authlogic created an example application as a tutorial.

Authlogic can be expanded to work with facebook and twitter with authlogic plugins:

• Facebook with authlogic_facebook_connect :

  $ sudo gem install facebooker $ script/plugin install git://github.com/kalasjocke/authlogic_facebook_connect.git 

  then you can follow readme authlogic_facebook_connect on github

• Twitter with authlogic_oauth :

   $ sudo gem install oauth $ sudo gem install authlogic-oauth 

  then you can read Readme authlogic_oauth on github again

Now you can enable login via facebook or twitter. Authlogic can do a lot more. If you want, you can enable railsapp to use openid authlogic_openid .

There are plugins that help with them, although the only example of what I saw is this one (which I haven't used yet):

It might be worth looking at the code, even if you are not using this plugin.

I am using authlogic with authlogic_facebook_connect and of course you need facebooker and set up facebook application etc ... authlogic takes some time to set up like this - podcast
