Android Activity Background Image Size

I got a little confused in creating an image that would act as a backdrop for my work. In short, my goal is that my application should fit different screen sizes. Thus, what size in pixels should my three images have in order to be able to fill the device screen in ldpi, mdpi and hdpi?

Thanks for any answer.
