Subversion version of github?

I would like to put some open source code in a public repository, and I really like how pretty GitHub makes such an exchange.

Unfortunately, Git is not an option for these projects, for the most part, because I'm developing for Windows, and Git support on Windows is not somewhere near Subversion support.

I would like to have something exactly like GitHub, but one where I could use Subversion. Is there such a service?

Sourceforge offers SVN as one of many features and is free for open source projects as well as Google Code

No, it does not exist.

And he cannot exist. GitHub features are highly dependent on distributed version control. In fact, most of the features that make "sharing" are completely unrelated to GitHub, they are the main features of distributed version control.

So you might have something like GitHub (or Gitorious , codaset ) for Mercurial ( BitBucket ), darcs ( Patch-Tag ), Bazaar ( Launchpad ), Codeville, Arch , ArX , Monotone , Fossil , but not for Subversion ( or CVS , Perforce , Visual SourceSafe , Team Foundation Server , Vault ), since centralized version control systems are simply not able to support rting with the necessary functions.

I am using Google Project Hosting with Subversion. I think this is a bit more than GitHub, but it provides free hosting for open source projects.

http://unfuddle.com/ is a single SVN host. I don’t complain at all.

I used http://beanstalkapp.com/ and found this to be good for hosting projects. You should definitely take a look at them if you really need to stick to SVN.

My company, ProjectLocker , offers Subversion hosting, Git hosting, and host hosting for teams like yours. For private code hosting, we or our competitors mentioned above are well suited.
