Visual Studio Express 2010 License

Can I use the Visual C ++ 2010 Express compiler for commercial use? As far as I know, this was always allowed before the 2010 version, but now when I start the IDE, he writes "For evaluation purposes only." I can’t find the full license file anywhere (not in the installed files, not in Google), so I doubt if I should use it or if I need to upgrade to MSVC ++ 2008.

I think you just need to register it. In the help menu, click on the registration product. This will lead you to a web page where you can log in with your passport account, and in the end you will receive a product key to enter the application.

And yes, commercial use of Visual Studio Express applications is allowed.

I know this is an old question, but there is no clear answer to this question, and I asked myself the same question. Finally, I found the official answer on the German microsoft website: http://www.microsoft.com/germany/express/registration/faq.aspx

At the first point, it indicates:

Alle Visual Studio Express Produkte sind grundsätzlich kostenfrei, dauerhaft verwendbar und können auch für kommerzielle Projekte eingesetzt werden.

Translated into English, this means: all Visual Studio Express products are free, and they are allowed to use them for commercial projects.

The evaluation message disappears if you register for free, and you can use express products for free for commercial use.

I received this message in Visual Web Developer 2010 Express, as well as in the help. He said something like 29 days.

You can register it for free, although you only need the Windows / hotmail identifier, then the message "only for evaluation is used" disappears from the startup splash screen.

this is an evaluation license until you register. Once you sign up, you can use it for any purpose.

Here is what I found: http://www.microsoft.com/cze/msdn/vstudio/nejcastejsi-dotazy.aspx

You may need to translate it into English (you can use Chrome or something else), but it is official, and it looks like it has been updated to 2010.

(I decided it was updated with the last question on this page: "What are the hardware requirements for running Visual Studio Professional 2010?")
