Is the development of Lua inhibited, or are there any more new versions planned?

I studied Lua because it has interesting functions (one speed), and I noticed that since 2006 there has been no function update. Has Lua development stopped? If this has not happened, where can I read about recent progress?

If you look at the mailing list , you will see that there are many active developers using Lua, and there are also plans for 5.2. The main developers of Lua are also very active on the mailing lists, and they discuss the proposed new features with power users.
