Symbian: sign sis file

I am developing a mobile application S60 3rd Edition FP1.

The application uses the capabilities of Location, which means that it requires more than just a self-signed sis file to deploy it. In order to use the location capabilities on FP1 mobile devices, we need to sign the application using the "Open online subscription" option. However, this process is not automatic. It requires access to symbiansigned.com.

Does anyone know a way to sign a sis file using the Open Online Signed option right after creating a project in Carbide C ++, similar to self-signed?

Thanks Fernando

Do you mean automation and integration into the assembly and testing cycle? Unfortunately no, I do not think that this is possible at the moment.

The Symbian Foundation is currently working to obtain developer certificates for developers, so you don’t need to use open online subscriptions. Another alternative would be to write your own plugin for Carbide.C ++.

EDIT: in your particular case, most of your development on the FP1 SDK may be a good option, but deploy it to the FP2 phone (where you can sign for the location yourself) and just check the time on the FP1 phone (and in more detail at the end of the course).
