ITerm2: stop inactive panel from dimming

Question

I use irssi in one panel and nicklist.pl in another, and whenever I am in the irssi area, the nicklist panel dims:

How to stop an inactive panel from dimming?

Found! There is a parameter in the settings → Appearance → Dim inactive split panels. I would really like to be able to install it only for two profiles, but this does not really matter.

In newer versions of iTerm2 (build 3.3.2+ for me) unchecking the following setting solved this problem:

Preferences (⌘,) → Appearance → Dimming

Then uncheck the first option:

"Dim inactive split panels"
