Are there libraries for creating flash swf files or converting svg to swf

I was wondering if anyone knows of any libraries for programmatically creating Flash swf files.

Or to create swf from svg.

This sounds like perfect work for swfmill. I think you will find that it will allow you to both convert SVG to SWF and create SWF files from code.

Ming , which is written in C, can generate SWF content. There are bindings for Ming in Perl through the SWF module , and I believe that it can also be used with PHP. Regarding converting SVG to SWF, it looks like a Python program that can do this, but sounds like it's still a little rough around the edges.

It seems that swfmill is not as good as the standard mxmlc for converting and pasting SVG files. I tested it on some simple files and it lost all the color and font information.

For me, the question remains relevant, because mxmlc also loses some attributes of my SVG files, mostly gradients ...

This is an early days project, so some kind of game may arise, but Swiffotron can load, modify, generate and combine SWF files.
