How to enable the FastParse option in SSIS?

The book I purchased to help in my understanding of SSIS seems to obscure this, and I wanted to know exactly what the method of incorporating FastParse into SSIS is?

Install quick analysis (from here )

  • Right-click the Flat File or Data Conversion object, and then click Show Advanced Editor.
  • In the Advanced Editor dialog box, click the Input and Output Properties tab.
  • In the Inputs and Outputs panel, click the column for which you want to enable quick parsing.
  • In the Properties window, expand the custom node properties, and then set the FastParse property to True.
  • Click OK.
