After solving my flicker problem, I wonder if there is a more convenient tabbed panel that closes, and then the one that appears on top using googling for a closed scoreboard ? (you will recognize it by the processMouseEvents Method )
I especially need one that never flickers :-)

There is an example of implementing lockable tabs using the JTabbedPane in the JDK.
JideTabbedPane is pretty amazing, and it is in a common layer (which is open source). It supports all sorts of sweet functions so that Java applications do not seem so corrupt. We had great success in this project.
I really recommend following the above guide. Creating such a tab is simple, and you have complete control over its behavior.
