Django VMware Device

Does anyone know about a Django 1.0 + postgresql + apache + mod_python VMware application? A "vanilla" Django 1.0 device, where postgresql can be installed manually, will also work.

Set up and build your device on Elastic Server On-Demand .

Another option: I had moderate success with

TurnKey Linux Django Appliance

In addition to the other devices on offer, you can take a look at our BitNami Django Stack VMWare Appliance.

It is completely free, and we constantly update it, often within a few hours after each release of Django. In particular, it includes mod_wsgi, since mod_python has not been updated for some time. Another thing you can check is Django Amazon Cloud Image . With Amazon Free Tier, you can host your own Django for free (with some bandwidth restrictions, etc.).

This may be too heavy for your requirements, but all of these elements (and much more) are included in the Python Web Developer Appliance .

Poulsenj is right Elastic Server On-Demand ( Django Elastic Server Site ) is a great place to set up and download a free custom Django VMware image in minutes.

The Elastic Server platform allows you to build custom servers by selecting components from a library of popular software stacks. Once built, these custom application stacks can be configured for various virtualization and cloud printing formats, downloaded and deployed in real time.
