QuickTest Professional (QTP) replacement - I need a tool for testing Java applications

I am currently testing a Java application with QTP (really expensive software).

I decided to port the testing of my web application to Selenium (using Java), and I was wondering if there are any other good tools for testing my Java application or if there are some libraries that say I can click / enter in Java applications like Selenium for web applications.

I am looking for something like Selenium, but for Java applications (i.e. if you want to test the Eclipse IDE, you would use that).

I have good experience with Jemmy, a user interface testing library created for Netbeans. I combine it with Groovy to write test scripts.

This is a clean library, not a recording / playback tool.

The marathon looks interesting, although I myself did not use it.

Try Compuware tools, less expensive than QTP but no less powerful

Silktest claims full support for Eclipse 3.4, but it does not support SWTTreeView. So he can't check the shit.

Also, the new Silktest Open agent replaces the Classic Agent. An open agent has about 25% of the capabilities of a classic agent.

Silktest is great for testing Java JFC-based applications with its classic agent.

I would avoid Open Source tools if there is no phone support. Without such tools, Open Source is a joke compared to commercial testing tools.

I would recount Silktest.

I have used it with Lisp in the past to test Autocad.

Very nice;)
