Project management software

Question

I am interested in project management software similar to MS Project. The project is a major overhaul of my software. we already have an error management system, but I need to track the progress of the project.

I do not like web applications because the data is either located outside the site, or I need to set up my own server.

I like MS Project, but it seems that it does not compare the estimated time with the actual time and does not use it to evaluate future performance estimates.

I need a gantt chart and a calendar view.

I remember when Joel published the new Fogbugz " Evidence Planning . " Looks like this might be what you are looking for.

This is a web-based interface, but Jira tracks time and can be combined with GreenHopper to create an Agile-style planning platform and a Burn-down chart. This, however, does not make speed for you.
