Authorize.net offers the Silent POST feature for its Automated Periodic Billing. It should provide POST data at your chosen URL, telling you whether it can charge the client, how much, etc. The problem is that it is not well documented.

I have not seen much on it just for AIM and SIM, you could just give them a call.
Log in to your account to order Authorize.Net authorization and click on the "Settings" link (in the "ACCOUNT" field in the left column). Then click on the "Silent Post URL" link in the transaction format settings area. You can enter your quiet URL on the next page. The next page also contains a link to documentation explaining the technical details. NTN

You still need to call your account in order to activate the Silent Post URL with your account because it is not something that is automatically enabled
Our customers use the following tool to check silent requests for the mail URL sent from the Authorize.Net gateway.
Just add the following URL to the silent message settings and change the email address so that the results are delivered by choice email.
