I use Basic Date Picker and swear by it. We use the paid version, but there is a free version that probably includes all the features that we use.

This is not an ASP.NET solution, but there is a large Javascript selector at http://www.frequency-decoder.com/2006/10/02/unobtrusive-date-picker-widgit-update . You implement it by setting a couple of CSS classes in the input field. Use it many times and find it great!
