What are the perldoc perlxxx options?

It seems that using perldoc perl gives a list, for example. perlre, perlvar, etc.

Is this the best place to look for a list available as a review or guide or reference guide? Is there a different, better list?

perldoc perltoc

is a bit more detailed about the various documentation files. If you need a list of core modules, try

 perldoc perlmodlib

See also the best online source for learning perl.

In particular, for perldoc you can also browse online content that might be easier on the eyes: perldoc online

I think "perldoc perltoc" is too verbose to just find a list of "perlxxx" items. Use "perldoc perl" instead. Or http://perldoc.perl.org/perl.html , which is an online version.

A more convenient starting place with links to only a few other pages perlxxx, perldoc perlintro .

This should be a good start. You can also find the same information on the Internet: http://perldoc.perl.org/perl.html .

I'm not sure what you mean better. There is a ton of good information at http://www.perl.com/ .
