Perhaps, but you will need to link the source code of the lua interpreter to the source code of the application and wrap the BREW API functions to use them from lua scripts.

We did it. I put Lua in BREW, turning it into an uiOne actor. It worked well, took about 3 days to make it work normally, mainly on the side of the actor. As far as I remember, there was nothing there that would not work on BREW 2.1.
We are not waiting for BREW 4.0. We are writing our LuaBREW implementation right now.
