What is your favorite WinForms.Net tool for your third party and why?

According to the graph, I mean histograms, pie charts, line graphs, something like that. I used the pair for many years, but what is your favorite and why?

I like ZedGraph , it is a free library and produces quality output. You can configure antialiasing to work the way it looks best for you, and supports many charts and graphs.

If your goal is a simple chart and you need little control over how to do this, you can easily start with the google chart api . You simply put the img tag on your site, passing the parameters to querystring at the end of the URL. You can even customize output colors, etc.

I am using the Infragistics control . Why ... because it is part of the library of controls to which we already have a subscription. This is an offensive endorsement. Their control charts are very flexible. It supports many different types of charts, including the ones you mentioned. They also support composite charts (several different charts inside the same chart control). However, I will warn you; learning their development style is not trivial.

ZedGraph Easy to use, supports logarithmic scales and, most importantly, free

I always use Zedgraph, as it supports XY scatter, and many others do not. For measurements, it is very important to obtain data and analyze the XY scatter.

TeeChart . I have been using this tool for several years, although it is not free (~ 500 €), it is packed with features.

What do I prefer:

• axis scale automatically
• automatic colors for different series
• zoom by selecting an area with the mouse
• comes with excellent code examples of all functions
• and web support for ASP.NET

I find ChartDirector to be a pretty good library. A wide variety of diagrams are available with an easy-to-understand API. It also has very reasonable costs.
