Got error 122 from storage engine

Question

Got this from some mysql queries, puzzled since error 122 is usually an "out of space" error, but there is a lot of free space left on the server ... any ideas?

Answer: for some reason, Mysql had its tmp tables in the / tmp section, which was limited to 100M, and was filled with the eaccelerator cache to 100M, although eaccel was limited to 16M use. Very strange, but I just moved the cache somewhere else and the problem is resolved.

Error 122 often indicates a disk quota error. Is it possible that disk quotas exist on the server?

Do you use innodb tables? If so, you may not have enabled autorun, and inno will no longer be able to expand the tablespace.

if these are myisam tables, and this only happens in certain tables, I would suspect corruption. DO REPAIR on the appropriate tables.

I solve this problem by increasing the size of my disk. try df -h to check if there is enough free space on your server.

try disabling the quota using the quataoff command

If you got this in IE7 where the AJAX request works, there is a known issue with GET requests returning HTTP 122 .
