Does silver light work on chrome?

Does anyone know if Silverlight connects to chrome or when does it plan to support it?

This guy has had partial success with silverlight in chrome, but he doesn't seem to be supported:

From the Microsoft Silverlight team to the silverlight forum :

Hello, We currently have no plans to support Chrome. We will support him in the future if he gets enough market share. Please understand that each browser implements a plug-in model differently, so there will be a lot of effort to officially support the browser 100% ... By the way, IE 8 also works each tab in its own process. If the tab crashes, other tabs will still work well.

UPDATE:

John Galloway just posted instructions on how to run Silverlight in Chrome here:

The official word for what is supported is as follows:

The reality is that we run many browsers, but in these parts you can quickly change the situation.

For what it's worth, the Google Chrome Dev branch has recently been updated to support Silverlight 2. I tried it and it works for me. Of course you should use the dev version for Google Chrome. You can learn more about switching to Chrome Dev here .

Silverlight already works with the web kit, and since Google Chrome is based on the web kit, there should not be too much effort to get it working.

Indeed, this gentleman seems to have had some success.

Based on this, I suspect that Silverlight will be fully supported by Chrome at the time of its release.
