Why does Entourage not work with Exchange 2007?

So this is IT more than programming, but Google hasnโ€™t found anything, and you guys are just the right geniuses.

My Exchange Server 2007 and Entourage clients are not working well.

The big problem right now is that the environment client will not connect to Exchange 2007 (Entourage 2004 or 2008)

Account settings are correct and use the correct format https://exchange2007.mydomain.com/exchange/ user@domain.com

The problem is with the dll called davex.dll , when it belongs, the OWA application pool crashes due to a number of unpleasant things.

When it does not exist, I can connect to everything well - and the OWA application pool does not crash - but Entourage never distributes directories in the mailbox and neither sends nor receives.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated: Microsoft support does not provide an answer to this problem, and Google does not go up much.

Try without using / exchange in the server properties field. Here is a link with relevant info .

davex.dll is an outdated webdav component for the Exchange server that uses Entourage. Your first step is to investigate the cause of the application pool failure. I assume Entourage cannot do anything when the dll is missing, because webdav is not responding to any requests.
