Opening WDK projects leads to the message “One or more errors”

I try to create a Windows kernel driver, but every time I either try to create a new project using the KMDF template, or open an example Microsoft driver (for example, a keyboard filter), it does not work.

If you load an existing driver project, it "does not load." After rebooting, I get a message box giving me an incredibly descriptive error message: "One or more errors occurred."

I get the same oo-descriptive message box when I try to create a new driver project from a template.

How can I get rid of this error message and load / create windows drivers?

Since I am currently limited to VS 2015 and will not be using VS 2017 anytime soon, the version of WDK that I installed is known as "WDK for Windows 10, version 1703" and can be found in Other WDK files .

There is a problem with visual studio 2015, you can read about it here

So, download the updated version of VS2015, and you can download and create new KMDF projects.
