Android WebView popup won't show for Google Calendar Auth

Question

I have a web application that includes a Google calendar embedded in it. Now I want to download this web application in WebView in WebView in my Android application. To show the calendar, the user must click the button that opens the Google Auth pop-up window to authorize access for me to pull people into Google Calendar. This works fine on desktop computers, iOS (browser and WebView) and Android (browser, but not WebView), but the Google / Auth login screen will not display in Android WebView.

• Edited: also tried to suggest @Sagar below to use onReceivedHttpAuthRequest instead of the popup, but Google does not allow OAuth via onReceivedHttpAuthRequest for here , so I need to figure out how to get the OAuth popup to show

Does anyone understand why the Google Auth screen does not appear in my Android WebView?
