How to use Home Kit Accessories Simulator

I am new to iOS programming. Can someone help me how to use Simulator for home accessories and where can I get it from.

I tried to configure my simulator in this way, but I can’t figure out how to use it.

Let me solve your problem with the process of adding additional accessories according to the document using the FAN example.

The accessory needs a service with features that you can control from your application. You select a service from a predefined list and then configure the characteristics.

To add a service to an accessory

  • In HomeKit Accessory Simulator, select an accessory in the Accessories column.

Services for accessories are displayed in a detailed view.

    The new service is displayed in a detailed view. HomeKit Accessory Simulator creates common features for this type of service. For example, the standard features of the Light Bulb service are Hue, Saturation, Brightness, and On. (The On characteristic is the same as the type of power state characteristic described in the “Accessing the Characteristic Values” section.) Some characteristics are mandatory, while others are optional. For example, the On characteristic is required, and the Hue, Saturation, and Brightness characteristics are optional.

  • In the HomeKit section of the Features panel, click Download HomeKit Accessory Simulator.

  • Alternatively, select Xcode> Open Developer Tool> Advanced Developer Tools.

  • In the browser, locate and download the .dmg file "IO Tools for Xcode Hardware".

  • In Finder, double-click the .dmg file in ~ / Downloads. Drag HomeKit Accessory Simulator to the / Applications folder.
