How to disable "go to definition" when pressing the CTRL key in Visual Studio?

I usually use the CTRL + click combination to select a single word, but in Visual Studio 2017 (15.4), when I press CTRL , the word turns into a hyperlink that goes to its definition, I want to disable it:

Tools-> Options-> Text Editor-> General

Uncheck Enable mouse click to perform Go to definition

It will work

This option does not work if the extension "Ctrl + Click Go to Definition" from the Microsoft Marketplace is installed. The parameter indicated on the extensionโ€™s documentation page was not visible in the Options, Productivity Tools, Other Extensions menus and, therefore, hid the real problem. Removing the extension allows you to return to the classic behavior of Ctrl + Click.
